Important Notes
CRA Access & Tax Filings
If you have not filed taxes for two or more years, CRA may have restricted your online access. This can affect MyAccount login, authorization requests/approvals, and your ability to see student-loan information. We will identify this during your intake and guide you through next steps as needed.
Prior Rehabilitation Attempts
If you’ve previously entered a student loan rehabilitation program, eligibility for another rehabilitation depends on your lender, collection agency, and applicable federal or provincial rules. We will review your history with you privately during your 1:1 consultation and discuss the options realistically available to you.
Disclaimer:
Your success in this program depends on your active participation and completing the required steps on time. We will guide you throughout the rehabilitation process, but final decisions are made by the organization managing your loan (CRA, NSLSC, OSAP, or the collection agency). If additional time is needed due to delays such as missing documents, late communication, or incomplete steps, extended support is available at $75 per additional month.”
Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about the Student Loan Rehabilitation Cohort
Possibly. Federal and provincial programs each have different rules, and final decisions depend on the lender or collection agency. Multiple previous attempts may make eligibility more challenging, but not impossible. We will review this with you privately during your consultation.
If you’re behind by two or more years, CRA may restrict your online access. This can affect MyAccount login and authorization approvals. We will assess this during intake and recommend the next steps.
The process requires at least three consecutive months. This cohort runs from January 6, 2026, to April 3, 2026, to ensure you are reinstated before entering tax season. (Rehabilitation outcome depends on the respective agencies/departments)
The program is intentionally designed to end prior to the launch of tax season so that you move into tax filing with a stronger financial foundation and fewer administrative delays. This ensures your account is in better standing, allowing the next steps in your financial process to flow more smoothly. N.B.: You must opt in to the tax filing service offer.
While your loan is in collections, refunds can be offset. After rehabilitation is complete, offsets stop.
No. This program provides education, administrative support, and guidance only. Eligibility and final decisions are made solely by the respective department or the collection agency handling your file.
